We hosted a wedding industry event on May 13, 2014 at Terranea Resort. We had a grand time at our #beaweddinghero champagne brunch and training sessions for over 100 wedding & event planners and wedding vendors.

First on the agenda was for everyone to enjoy a relaxing round of networking on the Catalina Terrace under sunny skies overlooking a clear view of its island namesake. After enjoying fabulous parfaits, kabobs made of bacon, fresh fruit and french toast, make your own Pavlovas (by MadebyMeg) and more savory and sweet food, we directed the group for a whirlwind round of six sessions to fix common problems that come up during weddings.
Be A Wedding Hero Lessons
Casey Schwartz and Kit Wertz of Flower Duet taught their groups how to create an emergency boutonnière for when an usher or groomsman needs a replacement on-the-fly. Casey showed the group step-by-step how to create a boutonnière from scratch, while Kit showed everyone our method for how to pin flowers on a lapel so they stays put!

Meg Hall of Made by Meg Catering taught her groups how to fix a damaged wedding cake.
Miki & Sonja of Miki & Sonja Photography and Brian Perry of Perryfield Films teamed up to show wedding vendors how to take a viral-worthy Instagram photo or video.
Terranea Be A wedding Hero

Ida Gardner of Ida Gardner Events demonstrated how to tie a bow tie (the real kind!).
KC Campbell of VOX Djs went through the list of essential dos and dont’s to achieve the perfect wedding toast.
The team of Design Visage Hair & Makeup showed guests how to repair a false eyelash on the big day.
